"almost butoh-like in her concentration, muscle control and slowness of movement,
Morriison succesfully achieved fluidity in a piece whch flirted dangerously with lack of motion"
-Laurel Tommas Greszler, Cleveland Plain Dealer-

"Contrast (ONE)" 1997

Choreography by Sarah Morrison

Costume Design by Sarah Morrison

Originally conceived from the idea
of a costume to accentuate contrast ( inspired by Sarah's vison research at Case Western Reserve University), Morrison utilizes Yoga postures to reveal a contrasting illusion with opposing limbs exposed or concealed.
