In a small village in County Mayo, a madman is harvesting Irish souls to sculpt his masks. Tonight, the red-haired girl from the bog has come to save them from the mask maker, whose bitter war experiences have so twisted him. The spirits are with her.

Inspired by the “plays for dancers” of William Butler Yeats, The Mad Mask Maker of Maigh Eo presents a new script by Irish-American playwright, Christopher Johnston, and blends dancers from MorrisonDance as spirits and fairies with verse recited by three of Cleveland’s most talented actors, Derdriu Ring, Andrew Narten and Meg Chamberlain. Nationally commissioned artist Scott Radke designs original masks for the production. The production is timed to celebrate Irish art and theater with the Cleveland Irish community’s observation of St. Patrick's Day.
