THE CITY IS OUR PLAYGROUND is a summer series that incorporates indoor and outdoor rehearsals, improvisations, and performances at various unconventional and conventional spaces throughout urban settings.

"MorrisonDance's 'Out On the Town' featured a trio of dancers costumed in a look modeled on the wartime icon Rosie the Riveter. Portraying overworked factory workers, the dancers flopped and slumped their way about the stage in lighthearted choreography set to music by Tom Waits. The piece also contained a poignant solo danced by Rebecca Borger."
- Steve Sucato, the Cleveland Plain Dealer
In one of the "two jewels of the earlier program" at the Joyce/SoHo BaseCamp series of DanceNow/NYC, "Sarah Morrison slyly embodied s Tom Robbins character with extra-long thumbs in 'A Tribute to Sissy Hankshaw."
- Jennifer Dunning, the New York Times
